Data Collection and Storage

FoodInEat collect login related information about the user. The information we collect is:

FoodInEat allow users to manage their cookbook in a digital way. The recipe information includes:

FoodInEat enable a user to make a recipe available to FoodInEat communitry.
FoodInEat also enable a user to share a recipe explicitely to another user/users. meaing a user may share a recipe in its account with another person even if the recipe is not available to the community. That is possible in two conditions:

FoodInEat uses the data collection to serve the application needs. This includes:

Data lifetime

The login information of a user is saved indefinetly. A user may request to remove his/her infromation from our system

As long as a recipe is in a user cookbook the recipe will not be deleted from the servers. A recipe includes text and media inforamtion. if the recipe exists in more than one cookbook, all related infromation will be kept even of the user had deleted to recipe from his/her cookbook

Recipe owner is the person how create the recipe in FoodInEat. only the owner of a recipe may edit its fields and set the state of visibility of the recipe. In case the owner had shared the recipe and then delete the recipe from his/her own cookbook. The recipe will stay in the system but the user that holds the recipe will not be able to change its content

Recipe that was shared to other users by the owner, will be kept in the FoodInEat even if the owner was removed from FoodInEat

Security of Data

Login inforamtion and recipe's text based information are saved in databases. Multimedia information are saved on FoodInEat storage

User password hash is stored as hash in our database. This mean we do not store the actual password in our system, and we do not have a way to restore the password

Multimedia related to recipies or saved avatars images are public available. Its is considered safe due to the fact that its had to guess the link to the information. However, anyone with a link to the multimedia can view it
